What the women's program covers

BHRT for perimenopause and beyond.

Signed by Dr. Hare
Dr. Hare builds each hormone protocol, signs off on it, and records his dosing rationale in your chart.
A stated reason for every prescription
No prescription is written unless its clinical indication, the medical reason for it, is named in your chart. Perimenopausal symptom burden is one of the indications Limitless lists. Why physician-led care
Hormones alongside your other care
One physician reads your hormone results together with your metabolic health and any peptide or NAD+ care you have at Limitless.

Compounded medications ship directly to you from the dispensing pharmacy.

The hormone replacement therapy page covers the whole hormone program, for men and women. For the medical literature, see the evidence library. The library names the North American Menopause Society's 2022 position statement on hormone therapy as the basis for the BHRT framework in perimenopause and menopause. The library describes that framework as covering estradiol, progesterone and the risk-benefit view of hormone replacement under a physician's supervision.

Menopause consultation preparation sheet

What to bring to your consultation.

Use this sheet to gather your notes before you meet Dr. Hare. It is a list of prompts: nothing on it is scored, and it does not decide whether hormone therapy fits you. Copy it out and keep it for your visit.

Concerns to describe

  • The changes that bother you most, in your own words, and roughly when each one started.
  • How those changes affect your sleep and your work.
  • The date of your last period, and any recent changes in your cycle.
  • What you have already tried, and what happened.
  • What you would most like to be different a few months from now.

History to have on hand

  • Every medication and supplement you take, with doses if you know them.
  • Any hormone you have taken before, and when.
  • Lab results you already have, with the dates they were drawn.
  • Past surgeries and medical conditions, and your family's medical history.

Questions you might ask Dr. Hare

  • Would any of the four hormones fit my situation, and why or why not?
  • How do the pellet, cream and oral options differ in what I would do day to day?
  • Which labs do I need, and when will we go over the results?
  • How often will I need labs and visits, and which visits must be in person?
  • Which side effects should I watch for, and how do I report one?
  • Is my medication compounded, and which pharmacy fills it?
  • What will my care cost, and which costs come from Limitless and which from a pharmacy?
  • Weight is one of my concerns. Should it be part of this consultation or a separate one?

On the request form, the “What brought you here?” box is optional, so health details can wait for the consultation itself.

Starting hormone care

How women's hormone care begins.

Care starts with a consultation request. Requests go straight to Dr. Hare's inbox, and he reaches out personally within one business day to schedule the consultation. On the request form, pick “Hormone optimization (TRT / BHRT)” under Primary Interest.

Which visits are in person
For hormone care, in-person visits are required at intake, at the 90-day check and once a year after that. Once you are an established patient, many follow-up visits can be by telehealth while you are in Georgia or Tennessee.
Labs before any prescription
A physician reads your lab results against functional-optimal ranges and reviews them with you, along with your history and goals, before writing any prescription.
Dose changes on data
Follow-up labs are part of hormone care, and each dose change is based on data and recorded in your chart.

Side effects and sourcing

At every check-in you are asked how you are tolerating treatment. Each reported event is logged in a register with its substance, pharmacy, lot, dose and outcome. Any serious event is reported both to the pharmacy that dispensed the medication and, voluntarily, to FDA MedWatch. Compounded medications are made only by 503A or 503B pharmacies that are licensed by their state, currently accredited and documented for sterility under USP <797>.

Hormones and weight

If weight is part of your question.

Limitless also runs a medical weight-loss program, in which Zepbound (tirzepatide) and Wegovy (semaglutide) are prescribed when either one fits your labs and history. If weight is the main reason you are looking for care, start with that program's page; the pages on tirzepatide in Dalton and semaglutide in Dalton cover how care with each medicine begins.

Patients in the weight program can also be on BHRT, and both are coordinated in one chart. For weight care, pick “Body composition / weight” on the request form. If both concerns apply, use the last question on the preparation sheet to raise them with Dr. Hare.

Cost

Paying for hormone care.

You see the pricing before you authorize any charge, and the consultation request form collects no payment.

The cost, insurance and payment page has a section on hormone therapy costs.
