What moving your care involves.
Records: Limitless obtains your prior records.
First visit: A 60-minute consultation with Dr. Hare.
Follow-ups: Many can be by telehealth, from within Georgia or Tennessee.
Any prescription: Decided only after your baseline labs are redone and after the consultation.
Already on a GLP-1
When your GLP-1 was prescribed somewhere else.
When a family doctor wrote the GLP-1 prescription but won't manage it, we frequently take over. In that case, when we redo the baseline labs, we often add tests that primary care did not order.
Tirzepatide and semaglutide are both FDA-approved. When either one suits your labs and history, Limitless prescribes it: tirzepatide as Zepbound or Mounjaro, or semaglutide as Wegovy or Ozempic. Joshua Hare, DO, plans your weight care and monitors it. Each medicine has its own page (tirzepatide in Dalton and semaglutide in Dalton), and there is an overview of the whole weight-loss program.
Your current prescription
Does your prescription carry over?
Not automatically. When you transfer, we obtain your prior records and repeat the baseline labs. A GLP-1 prescription is written here only once that baseline panel is done.
At the first visit Dr. Hare reviews your history and goals, any earlier lab results, and contraindications (anything that would rule a medicine out). We decide what, if anything, to prescribe from that review and your labs. When a GLP-1 fits, we prescribe it and monitor you on our own protocol. If something else is the right first step, we will tell you so.
Our guide to whether you are a candidate for GLP-1 therapy lists the tests in the baseline panel and the checks on the monitoring schedule.
Where your visits happen
The first visit is in Dalton.
Your first appointment, with Dr. Hare, lasts 60 minutes and takes place in person at the Dalton clinic. After that, many of your visits can be held by telehealth. Telehealth follow-up is for established patients, and you need to be in Georgia or Tennessee at the time of each visit.
The clinic is at 1502 Dug Gap Road, a short drive off I-75 Exit 333. Interventional Pain Consultants is in the same building, and parking is free.
Opening hours, directions and drive times are on the visit page. To ask a question first, call the clinic at 706-529-3698.
Changing clinicians or changing medicines
Moving your care and changing drugs are two decisions.
A transfer changes who manages your treatment. Moving from semaglutide to tirzepatide, or the other way around, changes the medicine.
What you pay
Paying for GLP-1 care after a transfer.
At Limitless you pay separately for the medicine and for your care. If your current provider charges one combined fee for both, that changes when you move.
No payment is collected on the consultation request form. The weight-care section of costs, insurance and payment at Limitless explains what affects the pharmacy bill and how the clinic's charge is quoted.
Transfer checklist
What to have ready before your first visit.
This list is for your own use: keep it for your visit, on paper or on your phone. You do not need to send records with the request. Limitless asks your previous clinic for them. The records help, but they are not strictly required.

- How much medicine you have left, and when your current prescription runs out.
- Side effects you have had, and any time you paused or stopped.
- Your weight when you started, if you know it.

Questions to ask the clinic
- Which of my labs will be repeated, and will any tests be added?
- Will I stay on my current medicine and dose, or change?
- What should I do about the medicine I have left while my care is being moved?
- What does the quote for clinical management cover, and is it a membership or per visit?
- Are lab charges included in that quote, or billed separately?
- Which of my follow-up visits can be by telehealth?
- When should I let my current prescriber know I am moving my care?
