The medicine
One molecule, two brands.
Tirzepatide is sold under two brand names with different FDA approvals: Zepbound for obesity and Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes. The two are also priced differently.
Limitless prescribes both tirzepatide (as Zepbound) and semaglutide (as Wegovy) as part of its medical weight-loss program, when either fits your labs and history. Mounjaro, Ozempic and the GLP-1 pills are prescribed too. Tirzepatide is usually the first choice; semaglutide is preferred when heart protection is the priority.
Tirzepatide is a once-weekly injection under the skin, given much the way insulin is, and Limitless teaches you in the clinic how to give it yourself.
The rest of the program around the medication is on the medical weight loss page.
How care starts
Seeing Dr. Hare about tirzepatide.
At the 60-minute consultation, Dr. Hare goes over your history, your goals, any labs you already have and anything that would make a GLP-1 medicine unsafe for you.
Before any prescription, you have the weight program’s baseline panel, which includes a CMP, A1c, fasting insulin, lipids, sex hormones, cortisol, hs-CRP, vitamin D, B12, a thyroid panel and, for women of childbearing age, a pregnancy test. The thyroid panel gives a baseline for discussing medullary thyroid carcinoma risk, which the boxed warning below covers; the pregnancy test is required before a GLP-1 is started.
Once you are on tirzepatide, the weight program checks in on a set schedule:
As an established patient, you can have many follow-up visits by telehealth while you are physically in Georgia or Tennessee.
Candidacy and exclusions
Whether tirzepatide fits you.
This is worked out at the consultation, from your BMI, your other conditions, anything that rules it out, your labs and your goals. If a GLP-1 suits you, Limitless prescribes it and monitors it; if a different first step makes more sense, you will hear that too.
When Limitless will not prescribe it
Zepbound’s label carries a boxed warning about medullary thyroid carcinoma and multiple endocrine neoplasia type 2 (MEN 2). Limitless does not prescribe it if either is in your personal or family history, and asks about both at intake. Limitless also does not prescribe GLP-1 medicines to patients who are pregnant, planning a pregnancy or breastfeeding, or who have active or recent pancreatitis, severe gastroparesis or an active eating disorder. That is not every exclusion. For the full list, and for the cases that call for extra care such as insulin use or planned surgery, read what makes someone a candidate for GLP-1 therapy.
What you pay for

The cost, insurance and payment page explains how insurance, savings programs and current pricing affect the pharmacy bill, and has a worksheet for writing down what you are quoted.
Two ways in
Already on tirzepatide, or starting new.
If another clinician already prescribes it
Transfers of GLP-1 care are routine at Limitless. Limitless obtains your prior records and runs your baseline labs again; if tirzepatide still fits your labs and history, therapy continues under the Limitless monitoring protocol.
For the consultation, you may want a list of the medicines you take now, with their doses, and any labs you already have. Your request itself does not have to include any records. Moving your GLP-1 care to Limitless covers the transfer in more detail.
If you take semaglutide now and want tirzepatide instead, you are changing medicines as well as clinics. Many patients make that switch, and tirzepatide vs. semaglutide explains how it is done.
If you are new to tirzepatide
Request a consultation and, under Primary Interest, choose “Body composition / weight”. The rest of the form asks for your contact details and how and when to reach you; filling in “What brought you here?” is optional. Requests land in Dr. Hare’s own inbox.
